iMedX, a Rapid Care - USA company has an immediate opening for a Full-time Clinical Data Abstract Specialist to complete Core Measure Abstraction work.
Purpose
The Clinical Data Abstract Specialist performs data collection, analysis and aggregation of data, and data reporting activities reflecting patient outcomes via completion of Core Measures Abstraction as required by TJC and/or CMS. The successful candidate identifies data variances related to abstracted topics and organizational quality improvement opportunities and initiatives for our clients in response to credentialing and regulatory practice standards and areas of concern. The candidate promotes core measures education and compliance. Experience with both TJC and CMS standards for quality measurement data capture is essential. Experience with Cardiac and Trauma Registries along with appropriate certifications for these registries will be considered an asset. NOTE: Candidates with limited data collection skills such as HEDIS will not be considered. The focus of this position is Core Measures.
Key Responsibilities:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Credentialed professional (RN, BNS, MSN). Specific registry certifications a plus.
Experience: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Minimum of two years’ core measure abstracting experience. Experience in health care quality measure specification development activities. Understands data collection technology tools data transmission to third-party agencies. Demonstrates PC proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, exhibits adaptability, high degree of customer service skills, displays sense of confidence, maintains enthusiasm and a sense of urgency towards work. Accepts responsibility and accountability willingly. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, works well under time constraints and excellent eye for detail. NOTE: HEDIS or Oncology Registry experience is not sufficient for this position.
Physical Work Environment: The work environment is a home-based position that involves long periods of sitting with repetitive motions of hand and arm and may include frequent bending and twisting. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
